SKK Migas urges domestic industries to switch to gas

Rudi Rubiandini, Chairman of upstream authority SKK Migas, appealed to domestic industries to switch to the use of gas from petroleum-based fuel considering that the former is much cheaper.

?Gas is much cheaper compared to petroleum fuel. It is high time for the industries to switch to gas,? Rudi told Petromindo.com Thursday.

He said that gas price is only about one third of the price of petroleum fuel.

He, however, said that to ensure sustainable gas supply, the industries must be willing to pay higher price for the gas to allow the oil and gas upstream investors to expand.
