SKMIGAS accelerating process of POD approval

Interim upstream authority SKMIGAS is accelerating the licensing process of several plans of development (POD) filed by production sharing contractors (PSC), hoping that it can finalize all before the end of this year.
"There are several PODs under a process of licensing. I hope that on 28th December this year, the PODs will be signed,? SKMIGAS Planning Deputy Widiyawan Prawiraatmadja told Petromindo.com.
Widiyawan pointed out that among the PODs include POD ENI Spa for Jangkrik NE field, POD ExxonMobil for Tiung Biru-Jambaran fields.
"God?s willing, we can approve them before the end of this year,? he said.
ExxonMobil Indonesia reported that it was waiting for the approval of plan of development (POD) of its Tiung Biru-Jambaran field in Cepu Block from SKMIGAS.
"Yes it?s true that we?re waiting for the approval of our POD for the unification of Jambaran-Tiung Biru fields. We hope that before the end of this year we?ll get the approval from SKMIGAS,? the company?s Senior Vice President for Exploration and External Relations, Asep Sulaiman, told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Friday.
He said that Exxon in Cepu Block has planned to finalize the development of oil facility for Banyu Urip oil field, and also to develop a gas field.
