Slovenian heat and power producer, Termoelektrarna Toplarna Ljubljana, (TE-TOL) has signed long term contract with Indonesian coal miner PT Kideco Jaya Agung under which the latter will supply coal with heating value of 5,000 kcal/kg with maximum ash content of 3 percent and sulphur of between 0.1 and 0.2 percent.
Under the contract, Kideco would supply 350,000 tons to TE-TOL this year.
?We prefer coal from Indonesia because its low sulphur and ash content because our power plant is located in the middle of the city. We have problem with ash. We must transport the ash to the garbage and we should pay for that,? the source said.
TE-TOL is Slovenia's biggest power cogeneration facility producing electricity with capacity of 124 MW and heating energy of 400 MW.
