Executive Director of Indonesian Mining Association Syahrir AB said that the smelter for zinc may not be constructed in the country as the reserve of the mineral ore is not sufficient for one processing unit.
"Zinc, its reserve is not sufficient (if we) want to build one smelter which is feasible and economical," he said.
Syarir proposed a solution to the government, that is to apply a minimum quota for the exportation of the commodity.
"May be there will be a minimum level (of export quota) that will be regulated by the government," he said.
