SMI secures $75 million multicurrency credit facility from Mizuho

State infrastructure financing PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) (SMI) has signed a US$75 million multicurrency credit agreement with PT Bank Mizuho Indonesia to strengthen its capacity to finance infrastructure projects across the country.

The agreement, signed on March 2, is aimed at supporting sustainable development financing for strategic infrastructure projects nationwide, PT SMI said in a social media posting.

SMI is a state owned infrastructure financing and advisory company under the Ministry of Finance of Indonesia. The company provides loans, project financing and advisory services for infrastructure development, including energy, transportation, water supply and telecommunications projects.

The collaboration with Bank Mizuho Indonesia reflects a shared commitment to expand financing for infrastructure development and support inclusive economic growth in Indonesia.

The new facility is expected to strengthen SMI’s funding capacity to mobilize capital for long term infrastructure projects and sustainable investment initiatives across the country.
