Sofyan Baasir tipped to be new PLN boss

Sofyan Basir, President Director of state owned Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), tops the list of candidates to be the new president director of state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) replacing Nur Pamudji.

According to sources, aside from Sofyan, the list includes among others Murtaqi Syamsuddin, Director of Planning and Affiliate Oversight of PLN and Milawarma, President Director of state owned coal firm PT Bukit Asam.

The sources said Minister of State Enterprises Rini M. Soemarno is scheduled to announce the name of the new president of PLN this evening.
