Sorik Marapi geothermal plant COD expected in 2015

Indian energy giant Tata Power Company Limited reported on Monday that the Sorik Marapi geothermal power plant project in North Sumatra is expected top start commercial operations in June 2015.
Tata Power-led consortium along with Australian firm Origin Energy and Indonesian firm PT Supraco won the 240 MW Sorik Marapi Project in 2010.
Origin Energy reported in August 2011 that it and partners planned to drill first exploration well at Sorik Marapi geothermal concession in early 2012. (alex)
