Sorik Marapi's 1st exploration well drilled in 2nd half 2012

Australia-listed energy firm Origin Energy said that the first exploration well at Sorik Marapi geothermal project in North Sumatra province, would start in the second half of 2012.
The company said in a press statement that the exploration well would be drilled with partners India?s Tata Power and Indonesian firm PT Supraco Indonesia.
The 240 Megawatt geothermal project was awarded in September 2010 and is expected to start commercial operations in June 2015.
Previously, Origin Energy reported in August 2011 that the first exploration well at the Sorik Marapi geothermal concession would be drilled in early 2012.
