Sound Oil, partners plan 8-well Indonesian drilling campaign

UK-based oil firm Sound Oil plc is planning 8-well drilling in its Indonesian upstream assets in 2006-2007.
The company said in a statement recently released that it, together with partner and operator Malaysian firm Ranhill Energy would commence first exploration drilling in Citarum PSC onshore West Java December. The first well will be followed by another three in 2007.
Sound Oil has 20 percent working interest in Citarum PSC.
Meanwhile, the company said it, together with partner, operator Elnusa During will drill in 2007 two new production wells and re-entering two existing wells to complete them as gas producers in Central Kalimantan?s Bangkanai PSC. Gas from Bangkanai?s Karendan gas field is scheduled to flow in 2008.
Sound Oil has 34 percent working interest in Bangkanai PSC. (alex)
