Sound Oil, partners to conduct further test on Pasundan-1 well November

The Pasundan-1 well was drilled to the total depth of 10,412 feet in September 2007 with The well tested two intervals with the lower interval test flowing water with a trace of hydrocarbon gas.
The upper interval remains to be tested.
In addition, the company reported, work has begun on the ground survey for the seismic commitments. The results of the survey, expected in the second half of 2009, will establish drilling locations for the remaining three commitment wells which the Operator intends to drill in 2009, the company said.
Sound Oil has 20 percent interest in the block with Calgary-based oil, gas firm Pan Orient Energy Corp controls 69 percent. The remaining 11 percent is held by Malaysian firm Ranhill Berhad. (alex)
