The construction of production facilities at South Belut field in South Natuna Sea Block B PSC in Natuna Sea has been 47.9 percent completed, according to an official at upstream authority SKK Migas.
Muliaman, SKK Migas? Operation Control Deputy, said on Thursday the project is faced with challenges such as monsoon weather anomaly and Long Lead Item delivery,
?The project is scheduled to start up with five wells in March 2014 and to come on full stream with eight wells in June 2014,? he said.
The field is targeted to produce up to 120 mmscfd of gas and 1,000 bpd of condensate, he said.
The South Belut field project is categorized as brownfield project since the works involve the modification of the existing platform in North Belut field. The South Natuna Sea Block B PSC is operated and 47.9 percent owned by American firm ConocoPhillips.
