South Belut starts full scale production this month

American firm ConocoPhillips Indonesia Inc. Ltd. said the production of the South Belut field in South Natuna Sea Block B PSC, whict started on April 26, is going to be full scale this month.

?The raw gas deliverability is at the rate of 140 mmscfd,? Vice President Development & Relations of Conocophillips Indonesia Joang Laksanto told Petromindo.com.

He said, the company expects liquid production from the field to be in the 400-500 barrels per day range.

The South Natuna Sea Block B PSC is operated and 40 percent owned by ConocoPhillips in partnership with Inpex and Chevron which have interest of 35 percent and 25 percent, respectively.

In addition to the South Belut gas field, the block holds the Belida oil field, the Belanak oil and gas field, the Tembang gas field, the Hiu gas field, the Kerisi gas field, the North Belut gas Field and the Bawal gas field.

The field is located approximately 15 km south of North Belut, at a water depth of approximately 100 meters.

The Field is expected to have a potential of natural gas production at a rate of approximately 120 mmscfd (approximately 20,000 boepd). The natural gas produced from the Field will be supplied to Singapore via an existing international pipeline together with the natural gas produced from Belanak, Bawal and Tembang.
