South Kalimantan parliament to summon Arutmin over alleged pollution

The South Kalimantan House of Representatives will summon coal mining company PT Arutmin to be questioned over alleged air pollution, according to Bastian Tahilo, head of the House commission E on mining sector.
Bastian said that according to data from the provincial office of the health ministry, Arutmin was responsible for the air pollution in the Satui sub district area.
"The air pollution caused by the operation of coal mining company PT Arutmin has surpassed beyond the tolerable level which threatens the health of the Satui people particularly children and pregnant women. So we'll summon the management of Arutmin to get explanation," Bastian said. (R. Amoros)
