South Korea?s Kepco eyeing LNG import from Indonesia

South Korean electric firm Korea Electric Power Corp. (Kepco) is seeking possibility to import LNG from Indonesia, a government official said Friday.

?Kepco has contacted BP Migas over the possibility to import 3 million tons per annum of LNG,? said Kardaya Warnika, vice-chairman of BP Migas, Indonesian oil and gas upstream authority.

Kardaya could not disclose further detail about the deal, saying that the talks are still at early stage. (godang)
