The South Sumatra provincial administration plans to allocate part of its oil and gas revenue share obtained from the central government to help finance the construction of two gas pipe lines, according to Governor Syahrial as reported by the local Sumatera Ekspres daily on Tuesday.
The paper said that the Ministry of Finance has recently distributed around Rp 743.24 billion in oil and gas revenue for South Sumatra province.
The governor did not said how much of that revenue to be allocated for the pipeline construction. He only said that the project include the gas pipeline project of state oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (from Prabumulih in South Sumatra to Jakarta via the Sunda Strait), and the pipeline project of ConocoPhillips (from Musi Banyuasin regency in Lampung to West Java).(*)
