Southern Arc quits C. Java gold prospects

Canadian junior mineral exploration firm Southern Arc Minerals Inc. announced on Friday that that, following receipt of the official Regency decree, it has relinquished both of its Central Java properties (Tirtomoyo and Karang Tengah).

Based on results from surface prospecting programs, guided by regional geochemical surveys, the company has concluded that these properties are limited in potential, and do not meet the company's threshold for inclusion in its portfolio, Southern Arc said.

Southern Arc's focus over the next 12-18 months will be to fast-track its Lombok and Sumbawa properties to NI43-101 resource status, while at the same time pursuing other mineral opportunities in Indonesia, it added.(alex)
