Southern Arc reports recent drilling results from Lombok property

Vancouver-based junior mineral explorer Southern Arc Minerals Inc. announced Wednesday that the second diamond drill hole at its Montong Botek porphyry Cu-Au target in Lombok concession, West Nusatenggara has intersected more encouraging copper - gold mineralization.

The Montong Botek porphyry forms part of the Selodong Intrusive Complex (SIC), which is situated at the southeast end of a 13 km long, northwest trending structural corridor of mineralization and alteration along which also lie the Pelangan Gold Prospect and the Mencanggah Epithermal/Porphyry District, all within SA's Lombok Property.

Drill hole MB002 was completed at a total depth of 518.0 m. Following the first 18.1 metres, which was not mineralized, drilling intersected:- 384.65 m at 0.30% Cu and 0.40 g/t Au from 18.1 to 402.75 m (including 117.2 m at 0.56% Cu and 0.80 g/t Au from 118.7 to 235.90 m), said the company.

The company said hole MB003 has commenced targeting eastern and southern extensions of the Cu-Au mineralization intersected in MB001 and MB002 and is expected to be completed by early June. (alex)
