SPAs for Tambak Lorok, Sengkang signed

State owned utility firm PT PLN has signed sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with two gas producers on the supply of gas to its two combine cycled power plants, Tambak Lorok and Sengkang Expansion.
Tambak Lorok will get the supply from the Kepodang gas field at Muriah block in Central Java, operated by Petronas Carigali (PC) Muriah Ltd, while Sengkang Expansion from the Kampung Baru field at the Sengkang block in South Sulawesi, operated by Energy Equity Epic (Sengkang) Pty. Ltd.
Under the agreement signed on Friday, the gas supply from Kepodang will be effective 30 months after the signing. Up to 116 bbtu of gas per day will be delivered to Tambak Lorok for 12 years, which brings total gas supply to 487.200 bbtu. The price has been set at US$4.61/mmbtu with an annual increase of 8.6 percent, plus transport fee from the well head to the plant.
As for the Sengkang Expansion plant, the gas supply from the Kampung Baru field will be effective in December 2012 for a period of 11 years at a volume of 15 bbtud of gas per day, or total volume of 51.945 bbtu. The gas is priced at US$3.5 per mmbtu with an annual increase of 3 percent.
The SPA between PLN and Petronas was signed by PLN President Director Nur Pamudji and General Manager of Muriah Ltd Zainal Anuar Abdullah. On the Sengkang SPA, the agreement was signed by Nur Pamudji and President of Energy Equity Andi Riyanto. Upstream authority BPMIGAS Chairman R. Priyono was also present at the signing.
