Special coal road planned in Bengkulu

Bengkulu Tengah Regent Ferry Ramli on Monday signed a MoU with the Bengkulu Coal Businesses Association (or APBB) to develop a 17-km coal road in the regency, local reports said.

Head of APBB Bebby Hussy was quoted by Bengkulunews.co.id as saying the MoU is valid for 12 months under which time the association and the local administration will try to complete the legal assessment for the planned project as well as the feasibility study.

He said that once the legal study has been completed, APBB will appoint company that will develop the special coal road in Bengkulu Tengah, Bengkulu Province, linking Taba Penanjung District and the Talang Empat District. Construction of the coal road project is expected to be completed in two years. (*)
