Special team to decide on dispute between Lanna Harita and cooperatives

Thai coal mining company PT Lanna Harita Indonesia, which has received a contract to mine coal in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, has agreed with 19 coal cooperatives operating in its contract area, to let the special team formed by the local administration decide on their land dispute, according to a report.

Local daily Jaya Pos Radar Kaltim reported that the company and the cooperatives agreed to accept any decision to be taken by the Supervision and Control Team formed by the Samarinda mayoralty with regards their dispute.

"Both parties thus agreed to restrain themselves until the Supervision an Control Team makes a decision on the matter," mayoralty spokesman Yusradiansyah said on Friday. (*)
