Star Energy farms out exploration blocks

Indonesia energy firm Star Energy is in the process of farming out interest in Sekayu PSC block, onshore South Sumatra and Sebatik PSC block onshore/offshore East Kalimantan.
Star Energy Advisor Sanusi Satar did not give further detail.
Currently, Star Energy has 100% interest in Sekayu PSC and 75% in Sebatik PSC. Both blocks are still at exploration stage.
Sekayu block was awarded in 2007. Star Energy has acquired 204 km onshore 2D seismic in 2008, followed by a one well drilling (Cerah Sekayu-1 well) in 2010 with oil shows throughout the main reservoir target.
The Sebatik PSC is located in the Tarakan Basin close to the border with Malaysia in East Kalimatan. The block is awarded in 2005.
According to Petromindo.Com data, Star Energy relinquished its Banyumas PSC onshore Central Java last year.
