PT Star Energy Geothermal Indonesia, a subsidiary of Star Energy, is still in the process of negotiation with state-owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) over the selling price of electricity from the planned 2x5MW Jailolo geothermal power plant in Halmahera, North Maluku.
The company is also still making land preparations for the location of the power plant, while geological survey to determine the exact geothermal potential for drilling is still in progress.
?We?re still in negotiation with PLN over the selling price,? Vice President of External Affairs at Star Energy, Sanusi Satar told Petromindo.com Wednesday.
Sanusi said that once the land acquisition and geological survey process have been completed, the company will start drilling work. Star Energy expects the Jailolo power plant to start operation in 2016.
