Star Energy to double Wayang Windu power plant capacity by 2007

Star Energy is planned to double the capacity of its Wayang Windu geothermal power plant in West Java to 220 megawatts by 2007, a company official said Thursday.
The company vice president administration Sanusi Satar told Petromindo.Com that Star Energy had scheduled to drill the first of 5 to 6 development wells in the area by end of this year.
The 110 MW Wayang Windu power plant has been producing power since June 2000. According to Star Energy, current well control and associated subsurface studies indicate that sufficient steam resources are present to support 290 MW of power generation for over 30 years.
The geothermal power plant is operated by Star Energy?s 100 percent owned company Magma Nusantara Ltd.(godang)
