Star Energy to drill 5 exploration wells in 2007

Energy firm Star Energy said on Thursday it planned to drill 5 exploration wells at its two blocks next year
The company?s CEO Supramu Santosa said Star would drill 2 wells in Sebatik PSC block, East Kalimantan starting July next year. The company will also drill 3 wells Kakap block, West Natuna Sea.
Star has 100 percent working interest in Sebatik block. The company has carried out 550-km 2D seismic survey on the block.
The Kakap PSC, which is also operated by Star Energy, consists of two zones, namely North Kakap and South Kakap. There are currently seven producing oil and gas fields in South Kakap (godang)
