Star Energy to drill wildcat well in Banyumas block next month

Star Energy is currently preparing to drill one wildcat well in Banyumas PSC onshore Central Java, as part of its effort to take over the operatorship of the block, a company official said Thursday.
The Jati-1 wildcat well is scheduled to be spudded in July, Star Energy vice president of administration Sanusi Satar told Petromindo.Com.
Star Energy has signed a farm-in agreement to acquire a 25 percent working interest each from Lundin Petroleum and ConocoPhillips, the existing participants in the block.
Operator Lundin said earlier that Star Energy would fund the Jati-1 well costs and would take over the operatorship following a commercial discovery and approval of a development plan. (godang)
