Star Energy to farm in C. Java block

Oil and gas firm Star Energy is finalizing to acquire a 50 percent interest in a block located onshore Central Java, a company official said Wednesday.
Star Energy president Supramu Santosa told Petromindo.Com that the company has provided between US$8 million to $9 million to finance the acquisition.
Star Energy is the operator of Kakap Block offshore Natuna Sea.
Supramu further said Star Energy is also considering to participate in the recent blocks tender offered by the government. “We are interested in the block located in Papua,” Supramu added. (Godang)
