Star Energy to resume drilling onshore S. Sumatra

Energy firm Star Energy is expected to resume next week its drilling activity at Cerah-1 exploration well in Sekayu PSC, onshore South Sumatra after the well was inundated by floods since January, the company?s officer told Petromindo.Com on Tuesday.
"The company plans to drill to a total depth of 4,529 feet. At the present the company is conducting testing until next five days,? Achmad Firaldi senior communication coordinator of Star Energy said.
According to him, there is an indication of oil in the well.
The block was awarded to Star Energy in 2007. (godang)
