Minister of State Owned Enterprises Dahlan Iskan raised the possibility of state banks to provide financing aids to miners for the development of mineral processing and smelting.
"The opportunity is there for the state banks to give financial aids to the miners," he told Petromindo.com at the Coordinating Ministry Office, adding that the deals should be done in business to business way.
"It is up to them (banks and firms). It should be in business to business approach. If the firms are highly qualified it is good for banks, otherwise, it is risky for banks," Dahlan said adding that state owned firm PT Antam was investing in the sector in six projects at Rp40 trillion.
