Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro said in Jakarta on Thursday that the total figures were about one percent above the government's target in the 2006 state budget of about Rp 217.3 trillion.
The surge in the state revenue from oil, gas and mining sectors was mainly due to the rise in the crude oil prices in the world, the minister said. "Although oil production is only about 93 percent of the target of 1.05 million barrels per day, the oil and gas revenue has exceeded the target thanks to an increase in oil prices," he added.
According to him, revenue from oil, gas and mining sectors contributed about 30 percent to the total state revenue, which is estimated to reach between Rp 550 trillion and Rp 600 trillion.
The minister said that state revenue in 2006 from oil was to reach about Rp 130.8 trillion, natural gas Rp 61.96 trillion, and general mining about Rp 20.84 trillion. (godang)
