Statoil plans 2D seismic works in Halmahera II

Statoil Indonesia Halmahera II, the operator of Halmahera II block, and partner plan to carry out 2D Marine seismic data processing survey on a total area of 6000 km2.

The company said in a tender announcement Saturday that the company therefore is holding a tender for the project that covers:
- processing of marine seismic data plus with 2D surface-related Multiple Elimination dan Wave equation-based Multiple Attenuation.
- testing of advance data processing using Pre-Stack Depth Migration with Beam Migration or Common Reflection Angle Kirchhoff Migration method.

Statoil operates the Halmahera II licence with an 80 percent working interest, with Niko Resources holding the balance.
