Australian miner Starits Resources limited announced Monday its July-Sept quarter coal production from Sebuku mine in South Kalimantan reached 809,000 tonnes, making the company on track to produce 3 million tones for this year.

Last quarter, Sebuku produced 697,000 tonnes of coal with cumulative production until September reached 2.1 million tones.

Last August, the company announced resources upgrade from 18 million tonnes to 24.9 million tonnes, extending the mine?s life by 3 years to approximately 7-8 years at current production rate.

The Company said further resources upgrades are expected as two drill rigs are currently operating. ?The complete program is expected to take 12-18 months before the full drill out is completed and the total extend of the resource is completely defined,? said the company in its quarterly report.
