Straits reports Q3 coal output, sales slightly decrease

Australian miner Straits Resources Limited reported on Thursday that output of coal from Sebuku mine in South Kalimantan in third quarter of this year reached 858,709 tons with sales lower than expected at 733,159 tons.
?Delays of vessel arrival at the end of September caused the sales of coal in this quarter lower than forecast around 950,000 tons,? Straits said in quarterly reports.
Sebuku?s cumulative output until the end of this quarter 2.499 million tons with sales 2.485 millions tons.
The company said it was on track to produce 3.5 million tons of coal this year.
Sebuku's last year production totaled 3.0 million tons.
Straits has 100 percent stake in PT. Bahari Cakrawala Sebuku which runs the Sebuku mine. (denny)
