Some 200 workers of oil and gas field operated by Devon Energy in Salawati, Papua had stage strike since Tuesday, demanding for compensation.

Devon Energy?s spokesperson Erwin Lebe said the strike had caused no production disturbance.

However, a Pertamina official said that the strike had caused oil and gas production stoppage.

?Crude supply to Kasim refinery had stopped,? said the official.

Devon supplies almost all crude requirements for Kasim refinery in Sorong.

Devon had agreed to sell its entire stake in Indonesia including in Salawati to PetroChina this month. (godang)
