The sharp increase in the price of coal in the international will further encourage illegal coal producers to further boost their operation to benefit from the surge in price of the commodity, according to an executive of the Indonesian Coal Mining Association (APBI).
?It is almost certain that the illegal coal producers will boost their operation to benefit from the high coal price,? the unnamed executive told Bisnis Indonesia on Thursday.
The coal price reached its record high level at US$53.3 per ton last week, or $2.88 higher than the level in the previous week. (*)
