Subsidized fuel distribution increases in Q3

State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina announced on Monday that amount of subsidized oil fuels distributed in the third quarter of the year reached 34.9 million kiloliters, higher by 1.7 percent from the same period of last year.

The amount of subsidized Premium gasoline distributed as of Sept. 30 stood at 22.24 million kiloliters, up 1.9 percent from the same quarter of last year, while the amount of distributed subsidized diesel reached 11.94 kiloliters, up by 3.9 percent.

?In view of these realized figures, the consumption of subsidized oil fuels is estimated to exceed the quota (set in the state budget) by 11.94 million kiloliters or 3.9 percent (this year), if no measures are taken (to prevent it),? Pertamina?s spokesperson Ali Mundakir said in a statement.
