Sucofindo to carry out seismic survey in Air Komering block this month

State-owned surveyor and consultancy firm PT Sucofindo will carry out a 2D seismic survey at Air Komering onshore block in South Sumatera province this month.
?The seismic survey will be carried out this month in Baturaja in South Sumatera Province,? Sr. Manager Seismic & Geosurvey at Sucofindo Hendy Barkat told Petromindo.com on Thursday.
Hendy said earlier the value of the seismic survey was Rp22 billion.
The block is 100 percent owned and operated by PT Cahaya Batu Raja Blok which since 2010 has been a subsidiary of listed investment holding company PT Capitalinc Investment Tbk. The Air Komering PSC was awarded and signed on Dec. 12, 2004. The PSC area is estimated to hold approximatelly 2500 million barrels of oil and 100 billion cubic feet of gas reserves.
