Sucofindo to commence KSO PEP-Indrillco's seismic survey this June

State-owned surveyor and consultancy company PT Superintending Company of Indonesia (Sucofindo) will commence a 3D seismic acquisition at an area of 60 sq km in Lubuk Linggau, Musi Rawas regency, South Sumatra which is operated by KSO Pertamina EP-PT Indrillco Hulu Energy Ltd., this June.
The activity of seismic survey has three stages, namely topography, drilling and data recording.
"In Lubuk Linggau, a preparation is underway for seismic survey. Initial stage or topography will be started in this June," Sucofindo's Oil and Gas Vice President Iqbal Akbar told Petromindo.com.
He added that seismic project costs at about US$2 million.
"It is estimated that the seismic work will last for three months only. We hope that the social obstacles can be solved appropriately," he said.
Indrillco with Samudra Energy Ltd. operate the Uno Dos Rayu (UDR) block under an operation agreement with Pertamina EP. The agreement was signed on Dec. 2007 for period of up to 20 years.
