Sugih to supply gas to PLN from Selat Panjang PSC

IDX-listed PT Sugih Energy Tbk said it has obtained a five-year contract to supply between 2.5 and 5 bbtud of gas to state-owned electricity firm PT PLN?s power plant in Siak Regency, Riau Province.

The company said in a statement Tuesday that the gas will come from the Selat Panjang PSC in Riau, which is operated by its subsidiary Petroselat Ltd.

The company said that the gas allocation from Selat Panjang to the Siak power plant has been approved by both the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Sugih holds 55 percent of the participating interest in the Selat Panjang PSC through the company?s ownership of PT Petronusa Bumibakti (which holds 51 percent of Selat Panjang interest) and PT International Mineral Resources Inc (4 percent).

The Siak power plant currently has a capacity of 14 MW, which is planned to be expanded to 25 MW within the next two years.
