Suma Sarana completes 2D seismic survey in Block Semai III

PT Suma Sarana, a national oil and gas exploration company, has completed 2D seismic survey in Block Semai III. The survey, began in January this year, was carried out by PT BGP Indonesia, one of geophysical service contractors operating in Indonesia, said Hadi Prasetyo, Head of upstream authority BPMIGAS for East Java and Papua.

Hadi told Petromindo.com that the company is currently studying data acquired during the seismic survey before moving on to exploration wells drilling. The drilling however may not be undertaken this year, said Hadi.

He further said that the BGP's survey vessel is now being taken to offshore Cendrawasih Bay II Block to conduct 2D seismic survey in the area.
