Suma Sarana to start Papua drilling campaign

Local oil, gas firm PT Suma Sarana will start drilling campaign at Semai III exploration block offshore West Papua in September this year, an official with upstream oil, gas authority said.

Head of Survey Realization and Exploration Drilling Dwi Nurcahyanto told Petromindo.Com on Friday that the company will drill Poksai-1 in September, to be followed by Ciblek-1 well in November.

According to Dwi, Suma Sarana is currently in the process of procuring rig for the drilling campaign.

Suma Sarana is controlled by media tycoon Hary Tanoesoedibjo through PT MNC Investama Tbk.
