Sumatra Copper announces Q2 production at Tembang mine

ASX-listed Sumatra Copper & Gold plc reported on Tuesday preliminary June 2016 quarter (Q2) production statistics for its Tembang gold-silver operation located in southern Sumatra.
The company reported in a statement gold production of 6,387 oz (Q1 quarter 5,406 oz) and silver production of 91,012 oz (Q1 quarter 121,569 oz) for a total 7,602 AuEq oz of gold equivalent (prior quarter 6,916 AuEq oz) with increased contribution from the Belinau underground mine.
?Continued productivity improvements as additional development faces become available with June 2016 AuEq production equivalent to an annualized rate of 35,000 oz AuEq,? Sumatra Copper said in a statement.
It added that mill feed gold grade was higher at 2.65 g/t AuEq (prior quarter 2.44 g/t AuEq).
The company also provided updates on the Tembang project including:
-Completion of development and stoping on Level 3 East and West in the flagship Belina underground mine with decline development extended to Level 4
- Underground pumping systems established and effectively controlling water inflows
- Underground contractor commences in July to focus on accelerating decline development to Level 5 and Level 6.
