Sumatra Copper & Gold announces director resignation

ASX-listed Sumatra Copper & Gold plc announced that Non-Executive Director Warwick Morris has resigned today from the board.

The company said in a statement Tuesday Morris was non-executive Chairman of Sumatra from March 2008 to August 2013 when he elected to step down as Chairman of the Board to the role of Non-Executive Director. He guided the transformation of the company from junior explorer to its current status as project developer and emerging mid-tier gold producer during his tenure.

?We sincerely thank Warwick for his outstanding contribution to the Sumatra Board during his time with the Company. We wish Warwick well in his future business endeavours,? said Sumatra?s Chairman, Steve Robinson.
