ASX-listed Sumatra Copper & Gold plc announced on Thursday the "Phase 4" drilling program at the Tembang gold and silver project in southern Sumatra was completed with a total of 52 holes for 4,380 meters.

Infill (grade control) drilling was completed at Berenai and Siamang, along with extension drilling at Nuri and Bujang and exploration drilling at Racambai-Jenih.

Mineral Resource models and estimates were updated. Key points for the quarter were:
? Infill (grade control) drilling along 12.5m infill sections along the complete strike length of the Siamang DFS pit was completed ahead of the start-up of operations planned for mid-2015. Resource modelling focused on geological controls (quartz veins) and resulted in wider zones of lower grade material for an overall increase in Mineral Resource ounces.
? Exploration drilling was completed at Jenih and Racambai intersecting quartz-sulphide mineralized structures where predicted, however gold values were of low tenor. Racambai hole RDD15480 intersected 5.3m at 0.46 g/t Au, 27 g/t Ag.
? Detailed surface mapping and sampling around the near-mine environ continued with 150 rock samples collected during the period.
? Consolidation and review of geophysical data was completed by consultant Kim Frankcombe (data handover and final report pending).
? The Geospark database management system was deployed successfully with digital data capture (logging) on-going.
