Sumberdaya starts construction of hydro power plant

Electricity company PT Sumberdaya Sewatama through its subsidiary PT Nagata Dinamika Hydro Energy Ma?dong started last week construction of a 10 MW mini hydro power plant in Ma?dong Village, Piongan Napo District, North Toraja Regency, South Sulawesi Province.
The company said in a statement that the project is expected to be completed and start production in two years, providing electricity to consumers in North Toraja and Tanah Toraja regencies.
Sumberdaya Sewatama, a subsidiary of IDX-listed integrated energy firm PT ABM Investama Tbk, will use an environmental-friendly technology in the project, taking advantage of the currents in the local Maiting River.
