Sumitomo-Rekin consortium wins Kamojang 5 contract

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energi (PGE) has named the consortium of Japanese firm Sumitomo Corp. and state owned engineering firm PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekin) the winner of the tender of the EPC contract for the Unit 5 of the Kamojang geothermal power unit in West Java.
PGE announced the winner of the tender on Aug. 3, 2013, PGE?s President Director Andriansyah said on the sidelines of the seminar on renewable energy in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He said the power unit is scheduled to start the Commercial Operation Date (COD) 23 months after the signing of the contract this month.
