The plan to build a coal terminal in the Sunda Kelapa port, North Jakarta might be cancelled due the reluctance of the directorate general of seaports to issue a permit for the project, Neraca reported on Tuesday.

General Manager of Sunda Kelapa port, Yuwono Yoni said in Jakarta on Monday it was most likely that the construction of the coal terminal would be cancelled although a number of investors had agreed to finance the project.

PT Muara Baru Fortuna in cooperation with the Sunda Kelapa port authority signs a partnership agreement in March 2003 to jointly build a coal terminal in the port. The terminal will be used to transport coal supply for Semen Cibinong in Cibinong, West Java. (*)
