He did not specify the percentage of interest the firm is offering to new potential partners.

H also refused to identify the potential partners, only saying one of theme is a multinational company.

The company also holds the license to explore geothermal working fields in Liki Pinagawan in Muaralaboh, West Sumatra and in Gunung Rajabasa in Lampung.

In developing the two fields, Supreme works with GDF Suez and Sumitomo Corporation with equal participating interests. ?Each of us gets one third (of the shares in each of the geothermal fields),? Supramu said.

According to him, Rantau Dadap geothermal field has a potential to generate 220 MW. Investment for exploration work will cost about US$2 billion.

A number of banks have promised to provide loans once the company has started exploration, found reserves and buyers for power to be generated.

According to Supramu, Supreme Energy has no plan yet to take part in other geothermal tenders as the company would focus on the three existing working fields. (giok)
