Supreme Energy to sign Rantau Dadap PPA with PLN

PT Supreme Energy Rantau Dadap, a subsidiary of PT Supreme Energy, the operator of the geothermal power plant Rantau Dadap in South Sumatera is scheduled to sign a power purchase agreement (PPA) of the project with state utility PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) this afternoon at the ministry of energy and mineral resources.
?That?s the plan. Hopefully, it can be realized,? PT Supreme Energy President Director Supramo Santosa told Petromindo.com on Monday. But he did not give any further details.
Previously, PT PLN President Director Nur Pamudji said that PLN was negotiating 53 clauses on the power purchase agreement (PPA) for Rantau Dadap geothermal power plant with PT Supreme Energy as the developer of the power plant.
Rantau Dadap geothermal power plant, located in Muara Enim, South Sumatera, comprises of two units with generating capacity of 110 MW each. Based on earlier relevant agreement, the price of electricity was set at 8.86 cent US dollar per kWh. The final price will be set in the PPA.
PLTA Rantau Dadap is the third geothermal power plant to be developed by Supreme Energy. The other two are PLTP Muara Laboh in West Sumatera and PLTP Rajabasa in Lampung. Supreme Energy had secured guarantee letter from the government that will pave the way for the development of the two geothermal power plants.
