Supreme Energy wins West Sumatra geothermal concession

Local firm PT Supreme Energy has won the tender to develop geothermal resources in the Liki Pinangawan Muaralaboh working area in Solok regency, West Sumatra to feed a 2x110 MW power plant, a senior governmental official said on Friday.
Sugiarto, director of geothermal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, said the price of the power to be produced by the power plant is estimated at 8.64 US cents/kWh.
Supreme Energy is also mostly likely to win the Gunung Rajabasa working area in Lampung which is capable of feeding a 2x110 MW power plant, he said, adding that the price of power from the power plant is estimated at 9.52 cents/kWh.
