Supreme, Indonesia Power compete to win W. Sumatra geothermal prospect

Geothermal developer Supreme Energy and PLN?s subsidiary PT Indonesia Power are competing to win right to develop Liki Pinangawan geothermal prospect in Solok Barat regency, West Sumatra.
A government official told Petromindo.Com that Indonesia Power submitted bid after bid submission date was extended until Friday this week.
?The two companies may be the only ones bidding for the prospect,? the official said.
The prospect has potential to generate 40MW of electricity.
The official said Supreme Energy, which is controlled by businessman Supramu Santosa, will have the right of refusal for the block as the company was the initiator to survey the prospect. (bernard)
